Apprenticeships

Every year we invite local young persons to apply for an apprenticeship with us. We offer apprenticeships in our Electrical, Plumbing and Joinery departments for young persons aged between 16-19.

Apprenticeships generally take 3-5 years depending on the trade from start to completion. Upon completion you will acheive a qualification that stands in you good stead for the rest of your life and the foundations for a much sought after career.

Apprenticeships are a great opportunity to earn whilst you learn which you can’t get with any other college course or university degree. Apprenticeships incorporate a mixture of classroom theory and practical studies which are undertaken at local colleges as well as valuable on site experience with our fully qualified engineers who are able to direct and guide.

R.W. Bell has played a key role in encouraging young people and since being founded in 1947 has seen over 100 apprentices pass through its doors, many remaining with the company following the completion of their apprenticeship.

Work Experience

Working closely with local schools, we are keen to encourage young people to try and experience the world of work in the contracting industry to help them decide what they might want to pursue as a career. We accept work experience from the age of 16 upwards, normally for a duration of a week, adding valuable experience to your CV.
